This is a very indulgent purchase but Aesop hand washes are legendary and this one even more so as it is exfoliating as well as smelling incredible!
This is the Reverance Aromatique Hand Wash (£27) with finely milled pumice. Its not the easiest to find online but in store its always available. I just think its such a lovely addition to any bathroom!
I have never been a jumpsuit fan but definitely a culotte fan – this combines the two and I think works really well and is so flattering! From New Look £29.99.
I recently discovered this brand when I was in France and have fallen in love with the concept and products. Its called Sanoflore and its produced in the Vercors Regional Natural Park where they have their natural laboratory and botanical gardens. Everything is organic and 100% natural origins.
The two products I have tried so far have completely blown me away and even better the price is very reasonable!
First is the Chamomile Noble Bio Floral Water (£10) which consists of “organic Chamomile distilled and fresh, soothing and softening on the skin, with illuminating properties for any hair. Paraben free.” So basically a face and hair mist! Never heard of that but was totally intrigued. As a face mist it is gorgeous and light and refreshing. As a hair mist its incredible. My hair is softer, shinier and just better!
The other product is an aromatic regenerating sleeping mask (£19).This has essential oils of Pelargonium and Melissa Officinalis. The scent is beautiful and meant to help with sleep. You can either apply as a face mask with a thick layer and remove; or as a thin layer and leave it on all night. It has a rich balmy texture which I love.
Both are products I would absolutely repurchase and am now desperate to try more (Feel Unique sells this brand)
I love summer dresses and I will be attempting to make mine transition into the colder months. This lovely burnt orange floral dress certainly works well for a more autumnal feel!
It is from New Look and was the bargain price of £14.99! I love the shape of the skirt and the neck detail is also really lovely.
I have always been a massive Zara fan, nothing has changed. I popped in recently and picked up a just two things but they were good ones!
First up I desperately needed a new pair of skinny jeans and Zara fits me the best. I wear a 12. These were £29.99.
The other item I couldn’t resist was this cute jacket/wrap blouse in a lovely oriental print (£25.99).
I love both my purchases and I am sure I will be back in Zara soon for more!
To start my blog again, I wanted to focus on my home. It has been the only thing I have been obsessing over for the last few months and my shopping has totally focused on home stuff! So I thought it would therefore be only right to start at home!
I want to start in the hallway of my new home. I absolutely love this space, it is probably my favourite in the whole house, although its impossible to choose favourites! This post is going to be a whole heap of photos, I warn you now! I love all the details and how they all come together, old and new, simple and complex…
So lets start before, this is what the hallway looked like when I first viewed this house. I could tell it was such a lovely feature but it needed some love!
So thats exactly what I gave it, a lot of love!
The main feature is of course the amazing wallpaper – parrots and palm print! I had been planning some sort of palm print so when I saw this one I knew immediately it would work.
Keeping the wall of the staircase and the ceiling white really helps makes this room feel light and bright and still really spacious. I replaced the carpet with laminate which allows so much freedom to go mad with the print!
The wallpaper is from Wallpaper Direct.
This telephone table is vintage and I found it the day after we moved in at a second hand furniture charity! I adore this piece, the old dark wood and floral upholstery clashes in all the right ways with the rest of the room!
On the telephone table I have a brass pot (for my keys) from Sri Lanka (my parents’ donated it to me!) and a lovely lamp from John Lewis. The runner is from Homesense. The plant stand is from Ikea.
Above the telephone table is my collection of vintage prints. Again I love the contrast of old and new.
The other side of the hallway starts with this corner where I have a gorgeous hanging plant and a basket with gold sequins for umbrellas & other bits!
I love the brass and ceramic hooks I found on eBay – to be used for coats or hanging plants!!
Each hook is different and so unique.
And then we come to my shoe storage unit. I knew I needed something for my daughter to keep her shoes in and also her school bags. It’s from Ikea but I changed the knobs (again from eBay and new knobs is a theme throughout the house!).
I love that its white and clean and fits perfectly without taking too much space away.
Cant live without some White Company scents!
This is Frida and she is beautiful and I couldn’t believe the background matched my wallpaper – it was meant to be!
I got her from Junique.
So thats my hallway! It gives me so much joy when I open the door and walk into this space. It is a total representation of my style and I adore it!
