Finally I couldn’t resist this hand wash (£7) and hand cream (£8.50) duo in Jasmine. They smell amazing and the cream is really moisturising without being sticky or greasy.

Love Oliver Bonas and will definitely be going back for more!

Cocoa Butter Skincare for Dry Skin

My daughter has really dry skin and I decided to try out Palmers Cocoa Butter for her. I got two versions – the body lotion 400ml pump (£5.69) which is a rich thick cream that really moisturises her skin leaving it lovely and soft. The second is the Coconut Rapid Moisture Spray (£4.99). This is a much lighter version thats easy to spray and rub in and go. This is slightly less moisturising but better for summer. She loves both of these especially because of the smell – like chocolate!

Floral Dresses @ Dorothy Perkins

I needed some simple and inexpensive dresses for work that were more summery and Dorothy Perkins was the place! Aided by a 24% off voucher these dresses were exactly what I was looking for.

The first is this Navy Floral Keyhole dress (£18.00 before discount). This is a lovely simple jersey dress thats really flattering. I love the shape, pattern and colours.

Great wardrobe additions for very reasonable prices!

Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm

I have heard many good things about this cleanser – the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm (£15.50) so the last time I was in John Lewis I picked one up.

IMG_4451

The cleanser is an oil to milk formula, so when you first squeeze the product out is looks like a balm – see picture below.

IMG_4452

Then as you massage it into your skin it turns into an oily/balm. This is great at breaking down makeup and stubborn mascara and also smells amazing.

IMG_4456

Once you have massaged it well into the skin you can rinse it off as it turns into a milky emulsion, I however stick with my favourite cleansing method – the hot cloth/flannel method (see here).

Then repeat for the best results.

I really like this cleanser but do find that it does sting my eyes slightly. This isn’t a huge problem but is a bit annoying. It terms of cleansing it does a lovely job of cleansing my skin whilst leaving it soft and hydrated with no tightness. I am on the fence whether I would repurchase this as there are so many good cleansers out there…not sure yet.

OGX Tea Tree and Mint

I did a post on the OGX Kukui Oil Shampoo and Conditioner and in that I mentioned that the next one in the range I wanted I to try was the Tea Tree and Mint Shampoo and Conditioner (£6.99 each).

Well I have to say I wasn’t disappointed! The smell is AMAZING, minty and fresh which can makes me think that this wouldn’t be moisturising (is that just me?!). Well they are labelled as hydrating and they definitely are!

My hair is left soft and healthy looking and smelling fresh and summery!

Very happy with this duo and definitely looking for the next one to try from their extensive range!

Supermarket Dress Sweep!

I wasn’t expecting to find gorgeous summer dresses whilst doing my food shopping but thats exactly what happened at Sainsbury’s. The dresses are from the TU range.

The first is this beautiful red print tie waist dress (£20). I love the vintage feel of this. Its so easy to wear and a flattering shape.

The second dress (£22) is also quite “old fashioned” in a good way! Love the stripes and the full skirt. Belt is my own from Jigsaw.

I am very pleased with my supermarket dresses!

Waitrose Baby Skincare – great for older children and adults too!

I have had these two skincare products for my daughter for years now, since she was a baby. She still uses them even now she is 8 and I use them too!. They are from Waitrose and are absolutely lovely.

The first is the Baby Bottom Butter (!) and as the name suggest the texture is like butter. Its made with Olive Oil and Chamomile to soothe the skin and act as a nourishing balm. It smells of Vanilla which is so comforting and lovely!

The second is the Solid Coconut Massage Oil – which is just that – coconut oil in solid form also with a vanilla smell.

Both are £3.09 and last for ages as you only need the smallest amounts. My daughter and I use both of these on dry patches, cuticles, lips, cuts, scrapes, anything really that needs a bit of soothing. We love them and will keep buying them – plus they make great little gifts for new mums!

Garnier’s Miracle Sleeping Cream

I got this with my March My Little Box and have been using this regularly ever since. This is a lovely night cream from Garnier called Miracle Sleeping Cream (£13.99). It is inspired my Asian skincare and works like a night mask to restore moisture and smooth the skin. It has a lovely gel cream texture that absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and soft. The cream itself is quite odd in that when you scoop some out after a little while the surface of the cream goes back to being smooth – very cool!

Back to smooth surface again!

I have really been enjoying using this and definitely feel like my skin os more hydrated in the morning. I can’t say I have noticed any other changes but I am going to keep using this as it is lovely!
