More from Aldi

After the amazing Aldi Lacura Caviar skincare I tested and loved here, I spotted this eye cream for £4.99 and decided to give t a go too. This is the Lacura Vitacell eye cream.

The cream contains Vitasource™, which is meant to help protect DNA and promote young cells and also stem cells from sea plants to improve the structure and elasticity of the skin. This is designed for more mature skins (over 45) I am almost 43 so not too far off! The cream is rich but not too heavy and goes on really smoothly. A little goes a long way!

I have really been enjoying using this. My eye area feels hydrated but I can’t tell of there has been any change in terms of lines and wrinkles, but to be honest my main concern is hydration and smoothness which this is giving me. Again at this price its definitely one to try!

I then also saw this 7 Day Intensive Treatment (£4.99!). This has 7 day and 7 night ampoules. This is a highly concentrated regime for day and night, with caviar extract and hyaluronic acid to increase moisture in the skin.

The day ampoules contain provitamin B5 to combat external environments factors and the night ampoules have duo hyaluronic complex to help keep skin moisturised throughout the night.

There is actually enough in each ampoule for 3-4 treatments in my opinion which makes this even more value for money! The textures are different – the day ampoule is lighter while the night one is stickier.

Neither feels odd on the skin and both absorb easily. I really love this, its like a boost for your skin and the hydration really shows. I am totally impressed. This set is not always available in store so if you spot it I would recommend your grab it!

Lacura Caviar Skincare

This is probably one of my more surprising discoveries. This brand is from Aldi and I don’t normally buy my skincare with my food shop but having read so many great reviews I had to give it a go. The Lacura Caviar creams are a crazy £6.99 each! Both creams contain Hyaluronic acid, caviar and also snow algae. Caviar is full of proteins, amino acids, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids – great for anti-ageing, firming and moisturising; while the snow algae is meant to help your skin be more resilient and adaptable. The day cream also has SPF15, while the night cream has Provitamin B5. So just from these ingredients it is clear that this is no ordinary “supermarket” cream.

I have been using both creams for a couple of months now and I am so impressed. During the colder months I like a richer cream, and that’s exactly what these offer. This is meant for 40+ skin so it is rich and moisturising and nourishing and leaves my skin feeling pampered and protected.

I managed to also get hold of the 3 Minute Peel Mask (also £6.99). This is quite a powerful mask, along with the caviar extract, it also contains papaya enzyme complex and AHAs to exfoliate your skin, minimize pores and rejuvenate the skin’s surface. This really tingles when you put it on but after 1-2 minutes that clams down. It definitely helps to clear my skin and seems to also help blemish marks disappear faster. Again I am so impressed. I use this only about once a week as it is so powerful so I wouldn’t really recommend this for sensitive skin.

I am absolutely sold on this range and will definitely be re-purchasing these!

Supermarket find – In-Shower Moisturiser

I was doing my food shopping in Aldi and saw this Lacura in-shower moisturiser and decided to give it a try, at £1.39 I didn’t think  I would regret it!! Well I more than didn’t regret it – I loved it!

Its a rich creamy consistency that applies well and rinses easily without leaving your shower a dangerous place! It definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. I have dry skin so I always apply a body cream, but I have to admit that I can get away with just this on some days. Mostly I layer on a body cream after and the doubling effect is perfect in the winter months!

Very chuffed with my new discovery!
